Les Vogt knows a thing or two about bits and bitting, across many disciplines. The 15-time world champion and multiple hall-of-famer is known as “The Trainer’s Trainer” and shares his knowledge by giving clinics worldwide. In his more than 50 years as a professional, Vogt has learned to calculate effective bit leverage ratios and combine those shanks with mouthpieces that maximize the horse’s performance.
The Turbo Bit Collection maintains responsiveness by cueing off the horse’s lips and poll simultaneously. These gag bits create and elevating action that, when used properly, applies pressure to the corner of the horse’s lips, cueing for slight elevation.
